Stumped No More: The Lot is Almost Clear

What a difference a few weeks can make. This aerial view shows our lot after most of the trees were cleared, cut, and hauled into neat piles. The larger logs are being harvested for lumber, while the branches and smaller debris have been chipped down and carried off. What was once a wooded patch is now an open space, taking its first real steps toward transformation. Looking for a forest through the trees.

Every big project starts with a single step, and today we’re excited to share ours. This photo captures the very beginning of our journey toward building the new 18,000-square-foot Boardsort facility. At this stage, the land still holds the stand of trees that have been here for decades—quiet witnesses to what used to be an untouched lot. While it’s always a little bittersweet to see trees removed, their clearing marks the first real sign of progress.
